HIGHLIGHT
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a U.S. government program run by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program to help low-income households pay for internet service and connected devices like a laptop or tablet.
You are likely eligible if your household’s income is below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line, or if you or someone you live with currently receives a government benefit like SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, WIC, Pell Grant, or Free and Reduced-Price Lunch.

The process for contacting the Company when having a system issue has been updated. The following information will give you direct access to the information. Please note that a new timestamp number has been created.

We would like to take this moment to send a warm welcome to all of our new hires! We realize the challenges that you all face and want you to know that you have a family in your Union brothers and sisters! Again, welcome to our family and we wish you much success ahead!

In the efforts to garnish more participation in our membership meetings, because they are as important as they are, we've changed the parameters of our $25 drawing for wearing red on Thursdays, to entering all names of the members who participate for at minimum 50% of the meeting. We will continue to host our meetings live via Zoom in addition to being at the Local for all that would like to attend in person. You will need to RSVP to obtain the Zoom link, and that can be found under Upcoming Events. We are also going to begin recording our membership meetings to be shared on our Facebook page so that those that are not able to attend are able to review and see how decisions are made. Our membership meetings are the official way to move our business forward, as it relates both to the company and to our Union.

Committee Information
Now that we have begun to clear through the pandemic, we are going to start back up our initiative to build our committees here at Local 3640. If you are interested in ways to become more active with the workings of a Labor Union in addition to how our Local fits into it all, this is great place to start. All committee members will also have opportunity to interact with other District and National CWA members, which is an awesome way to network! You can access our bylaws to see what committees are offered, also. Please contact an E-Board member if you would like to know more and we hope to see you soon!
MANDO TIPS
Mandatory Overtime is something that we all hate to see. We've put together a few tips that we hope you find helpful.
In this flex MADD agreement, sign up is done via the Aspect tool. The company has recognized the lack of VOT from 8/28/22 but has also promised to continue to evaluate the need of VOT beyond 6/24/22. Any week not showing hours selected is viewed as an opt-out for that week.

Vacation is a much needed staple of our job, and in order for you to stay on top of how vacation is accrued, when to expect additional weeks, and how DAT days are earned and used, we've singled out those articles for you. The information that you will be linked to are the Articles of the contract that deal with both Holiday and standard Vacation.

June 14th and 15th 2022. Location: Washington, D.C.
Some of our most important work is done on Capitol Hill. CWA hosts a bi-annual Political Conference, during which we are called upon to also lobby the interests of the working class to our Congressional members. We have a Political/Legislative Committee here at Local 3640 and we welcome all volunteers as there's a lot of work to be done and the goal is to have the constituents of the State and Federal politicians on hand so that we can hold weight during these visits. #CWAStrong

We are proud to announce that we have regained the ability to post our membership meetings to our Facebook page! If you would like to watch our last meeting, you can do so by clicking the link on our Facebook page. There's important information to review within. In Unity.
